Light purple-skinned, hardneck rocambole-type variety known for its robust, spicy flavor. The German Red is well adapted to northern climates and does have a shorter storage life but the taste is phenomenal, so just eat it first!!

Full bodied, strong and spicy garlic that reliably procedures large, satiny white and purple heads.   The easy to peel cloves are wrapped in fawn colored skins.  A widely popular variety that sets the standard for true garlic flavor.   Medium-sized cloves, Averaging 7–9 cloves per bulb.
